Fresh off a hard-fought championship game appearance against the Gueydan Flying Ducks, the Bobcats are poised to leverage continuity, youth, and experience as they chase their first title.

Season Five Recap & Franchise Milestones

  • Championship Game Contenders (2025): The Bobcats battled to the final showdown, ultimately falling to the undefeated Gueydan Flying Ducks.

  • Six Seasons Strong: Since joining as an early expansion franchise in 2020, Baytown has steadily built a reputation for high-tempo play, player development, and community engagement.

Homecourt Advantage at World Gym
This season, all Bobcats home games will take place at the newly renovated World Gym Center. With upgraded seating, enhanced locker-room facilities, and a passionate local fanbase, World Gym provides the ideal backdrop for Bay Area’s championship quest.

These young men have learned what it takes to reach the Finals, and now they know how to finish,” said Coach Payne. “Our focus this year is on consistency—executing defensively, sharing the ball with precision, and maintaining mental toughness in crunch time. We’ll work relentlessly through training camp and preseason scrimmages to ensure we’re not just participants, but serious contenders for the championship.”

Statement from Commissioner Lillian Countee

“The Bay Area Bobcats exemplify the NBL–US’s commitment to youth development and community pride,” remarked Commissioner Countee. “Coach Payne’s leadership and the team’s near-flawless chemistry propelled them to the championship game last season. I have every confidence that with another year of growth and the energy of  the Bay Area behind them, the Bobcats are primed to deliver an unforgettable 2026 season.”
